The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
